Job Title: Housekeeper

Job Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized environment for residents, guests, or employees. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work independently to ensure all assigned areas meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Job Responsibility
- Clean and sanitize all assigned areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, hallways, and common spaces.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative items.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and wax floors as required.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens.
- Make beds and change linens according to established procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and properly, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any malfunctions.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Respect privacy and confidentiality of residents/guests/staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Proven experience as a housekeeper or in a similar cleaning role is a plus.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Good time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and handle supplies.
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to cleaning agents and varying temperatures.
